PRESENTATION

The Stereometric Dimension

By Lic. Tamara Bruzoni

The Stereometric Dimension – Expressive Geometry and Chromatism marks the second major exhibition of the Chromatic Stereometrism Movement and presents a new stage in the artistic research developed by its members.

Through works by Gustavo Rivera "Gutí" and Mariano Prado, the exhibition explores the expressive possibilities of geometry, color, and spatial perception—fundamental principles that define the movement's aesthetic vision.

Presented at the Sophia Wanamaker Gallery of the Costa Rican–North American Cultural Center (CCCN), the exhibition invites visitors to discover a visual language in which geometric structures and chromatism merge to create experiences of depth, movement, and contemplation.

The exhibition reaffirms the movement's commitment to innovation through the integration of technology and new materials into artistic creation, strengthening its contribution to contemporary art.

This exhibition is part of the permanent program of research, creation, dissemination and international projection of the Chromatic Stereometry Movement

"Geometry ceases to be merely a structure and becomes a perceptual experience, where color constructs new dimensions of space."

Official Launch Exhibition

Thus arrived the date for the long-awaited launch of the Chromatic Stereometrism Manifesto. A couple of days before, coordination was held with officials from the National Library and artists Mariano Prado and Gutí to curate and distribute the 16 works to be exhibited.

Once the works and all the materials that complemented the exhibition were installed, on the opening day at 3:00 PM on January 10, 2025, guests were welcomed, beginning to fill the hall of the Benemérita National Library of Costa Rica. They were greeted with an explanatory pamphlet about the new avant-garde movement and a souvenir in the shape of a small pyramid with the movement's now official logo on one side and, on the other, a QR code that redirects to the stereometrists' official website.

Chatting with Tamara Bruzoni

In this interesting podcast hosted by ¡TPandGo! Magazine Digital, directed by Tamara Bruzoni, the innovative vision and first steps of the Chromatic Stereometrism movement are explored for the first time.

It is thanks to the interaction that takes place in this interview that Tamara Bruzoni identifies with Gutí's proposal, which later influenced the completion of her undergraduate thesis based on the theme of the new 21rs Century avant-garde and which also resulted in a solid collaboration of support and direct participation in the movement as an experienced representative in the areas of curatorship, art appreciation and cultural journalism.
